Spring is usually my least favorite time of the year because yeah, when snow does melt its all disgusting, and having parking lots full of sludge and having to walk through it, yuck. And the snow has been through many melting and freezing cycles and is no longer white unless you're out in the country somewhere and its all crunchy and not soft and powdery. I remember, was it 2008(can't remember)It was April and I was in the Chicago area(Burr Ridge, IL to be exact) and school in Annandale,mn had a snow day. I remember it so well because it was downpooring in the Chicago area, while were talking to one of my sisters on a phone and they say its snowing extremely hard in Minnesota. Lucky for me because they had a snow day so I didn't miss as much school as I was gone which was sweet

I'm so sick of this. It's almost March. Where is SPRING?!?!
Spring begins on March 20th this year.

Lets look on the bright side. So this was one of the worst winters on record, so statistically speaking, next winter should be better than this and after this year, most winters wont seem so bad (statistically speaking).

They are predicting a slow thaw to begin mid-to late week next week. Hopefully is will start slowly as to avoid a sudden major flood.

" ... one of the worst winters on record ..." What? You've gotta be kidding me. This is a normal winter. We just got spoiled by that run of warm fake winters in the late 90's and early 2000's.

-6 degrees right now. At least it's sunny. On the Atlanta forum, they're talking about flowers blooming and pollen.

Oh well, when it's 100 degrees with 80% humidity there in June, it will be a beautiful 72 and sunny here.

Yeah, the pollen count was over 600 yesterday, and my eyes are actually a little itchy. Weird.

I don't think I've ever seen those two conditions here at the same time...? But it would be interesting as long as I can stay indoors.
