The long range forecast looks pretty nice, as of now. Looks like spring may finally show up next week. Test ("Test" this is a link for the 15 day temperature forecast model.)

60 degrees! If that forecast holds, that will be AWESOME!!! Bring on the sunshine, flowers, blue skies, bees (and flooding, unfortunately).

Meh, any forcast over 3 days is a joke. You might as well spin a wheel and hope for the best!

Yes, take the long range forecast with a big grain of salt as it will likely change BUT, the long term forecast is for a general temperature increase regardless, which means above freezing which means the melting of this dang snow, finally!

It all sounds good, except the bees part. When the bees pick up so do the nasty wasp

Since then it's been non-stop wintery nastiness. The highest temperature since that 69 on November 9th was 45 on November 28 and 52 on February 16th.

There were occasions of 5 inches of snow on December 3rd, 16 inches on December 11th, 4.5 inches on December 20th, 12 inches on February 20th.

There have been 11 days so far where the highest temp didn't even break 10 degrees. There have been 36 days that haven't seen 20. There have been 81 days where the high didn't reach 30! (January only had 2 days above 30 degrees!) 85 days have been at or below freezing!!!

It's been a long, harsh winter. Nothing that I can't handle or didn't expect but it has been tiring.
Good old-fashioned MN winter!

I can't wait for the warm!

At least the internet lets me vent my frustration at the cold weather...

Friday, March 11th. Sigh. More snow.

... WINTER STORM TO IMPACT THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT...
.A DEVELOPING STORM SYSTEM OVER MONTANA WILL MOVE EAST THROUGH NORTHERN NORTH DAKOTA TODAY AND THEN BE LOCATED IN NORTHWEST MINNESOTA THIS EVENING. A PERIOD OF SNOW ALONG WITH STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS WILL OCCUR JUST BEHIND THE LOW PASSAGE IN THE COLDER AIR. STRONG NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS OF 25 TO 40 MPH COMBINED WITH FALLING SNOW WILL SHARPLY REDUCE VISIBILITIES ESPECIALLY OVER THE EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA AND THE RED RIVER VALLEY OF NORTHWESTERN MINNESOTA. SNOW AMOUNTS WILL BE IN THE 2 TO 4 INCH RANGE ALONG AND NORTH OF HIGHWAY TWO WITH AROUND AN INCH OR LESS SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 94.
PRIOR TO THE SNOWFALL... THERE COULD BE A BRIEF PERIOD OF FREEZING DRIZZLE OR VERY LIGHT RAIN AS TEMPERATURES BEFORE THE LOW PASSES WILL RISE TO ABOVE FREEZING IN MOST AREAS.
