You lucked out, that's a relief. Other places along the US Pacific coast were hit much harder.

I guess the waves weren't a 'joke' to this guy:

Apparently the radioactive cloud heading our way is another matter judging by the panic run emptying out the shelves of potassium iodide. Bet you've recently developed a taste for seaweed too.

The sky is falling! And it glows in the dark, too!

Don't panic. News stations thrive on fear, it sells advertising.

Right from the article: A 25 year man who just moved from Bend to Klamath, California appears to be the only west coast death resulting from Friday’s tsunami.

And just so you know, this happened at the most Western part of California. So, while the news was reporting doom and gloom and California gets all these crazy tsunami's, mudslides, and earthquakes - it's simply not true.

That's like saying Minnesota doesn't get above freezing, the MOA is the hot spot of the city, and everyone up there says "don-cha know" and "you betcha."

Currently 52F in Minneapolis.
Flood watches and warnings being posted in counties with streams and rivers prone to flooding across much of Southern Minnesota (St. Cloud southward). - Including the Redwood River in Marshall, Des Moines River in Jackson. Floods are expected to begin Saturday into Sunday and intensify from there as a rain event is supposed to move into the area Sunday thru Tuesday. Temperatures over night are not expected to go below freezing for much of the next week (as they have not for the last few nights in SW Minnesota)
I expect to see one for St. Paul, New Ulm, Mankato and St. Peter soon.

It's too hot out today - had to take my scarf off. Next thing you know, the girls will be walking around in skimpy summer dresses and heating things up even worse!
