As much of a fan of snow that I am, (one of my favorite regions is the Lake Superior Snowbelt), sizable snows in April get tiring.

The flowers are supposed to be blooming by now according to Yuhas...but they are not.

So much for "global warming"!

I have been sick with some sort of sinus or respiratory infection (or both) for this entire year, and I truly think it has something to do with the weather, and the also the weather causing mold in my house. I have never been this sick for this long - not even close. 2 of my kids have been very sick also. We're going to have the city come out and inspect for mold because the brutal winter temps kept forming ice inside our windows and I know it's been doing that previous to our buying this place, which is 15 years old. Don't know what to do.....some of the locals I know say replacing windows is of no use, the ice will form anyway......maybe to try humidifiers, etc. At this point I'm beginning to regret moving this far north, as much as we love it here.

This doesn't sound right.

I don't get ice on the inside of my windows but my neighbors did on a couple of windows due to a broken seal. It went away when they replaced the windows.

How does mold develop in the winter when it's a dry heat all winter which should dry things out? Adding a humidifier adds moister to the air.

Maybe all my windows are bad then. They're fairly new, too.

I think I meant to say de-humidifier. My bad.

Wow! Very cool you experienced that. Not something many have witnessed. Especially in May.

Incredible!! I'll be adding this one to my blog.

Look close around Duluth and Northern Wisconsin. 6-9" of fresh snow has fallen.

5.5" WAS historic for May in Duluth airport. They had 8.3" yesterday at DLH & 8.6" for the month. Records. Historic snow this late.

These late & early season cold and snow has become so common past few yrs in many areas it's amazing to see.

Nobody alive today has seen this much snow fall in May. Records since 1885.
