Links? Screenshots? Forecasts? Anything?

I think it was Dave Dahl (he's one of us you know) last night that had the snow north of a line the ran roughly from Granite Falls-to-St Cloud-to-Duluth. Ken Barlow said this morning that that line appeared to be shifting south a bit but still north of the TC.

Blizzard Watches Posted for these counties in Minnesota.

Big Stone Chippewa Douglas
Grant Lac qui Parle Lincoln
Lyon Otter Tail Pope
Stevens Swift Traverse
Wilkin Yellow Medicine

Intellicast - Local Weather Forecast, Reports and Maps

Remember, a "Watch" means it's possible. A "Warning" means it's likely. I will post the map later as NWS offices expand the Winter storm coverage...

Quote:
...FIRST MAJOR WINTER STORM OF THE SEASON COULD BRING BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS TO WESTERN MINNESOTA ON FRIDAY...

WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL DETERIORATE RAPIDLY WITH BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS POSSIBLE ACROSS WESTERN MINNESOTA FRIDAY AS A LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM TRACKS NORTHEAST ACROSS IOWA INTO WESTERN
WISCONSIN. RAIN WILL BEGIN THURSDAY AFTERNOON OR EVENING ACROSS
WESTERN MINNESOTA...BUT IS EXPECTED TO CHANGE TO SNOW BY EARLY
FRIDAY MORNING. SNOW WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES INTO EARLY AFTERNOON
BEFORE TAPERING OFF BY EVENING. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 10
INCHES ARE EXPECTED WEST OF A LINE FROM AROUND GRANITE FALLS TO
WILLMAR AND LITTLE FALLS. AMOUNTS WILL TAPER OFF QUICKLY TO THE
EAST.

WINDS WILL INCREASE MARKEDLY FRIDAY AS THE LOW PRESSURE CENTER
PULLS AWAY. GUSTS OF 35 TO 50 MPH ARE EXPECTED...HIGHEST SOUTH OF
I-94 WHICH WILL CONTRIBUTE TO CONSIDERABLE BLOWING SNOW AND
WHITEOUT CONDITIONS. TRAVEL WILL BECOME VERY DIFFICULT OR
IMPOSSIBLE IN AREAS OF THE HEAVIEST SNOW.

A BLIZZARD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH
FRIDAY FOR MUCH OF WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA...MAINLY WEST OF GRANITE
FALLS TO GLENWOOD AND ALEXANDRIA. A WINTER STORM WATCH IS IN
EFFECT A BIT FURTHER TO THE EAST WHERE SNOW AMOUNTS SHOULD BE LESS
AND THUS THE THREAT OF WHITEOUT CONDITIONS IS LOWER. THAT INCLUDES
THE CITIES OF REDWOOD FALLS...WILLMAR...LONG PRAIRIE...AND LITTLE
FALLS.

------------------------

325 AM CST WED NOV 16 2016

...BLIZZARD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH
FRIDAY EVENING...

* BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT
THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING.

* WINDS GUSTING AS HIGH AS 50 MPH COULD CAUSE WHITEOUT CONDITIONS
IN BLOWING SNOW. SIGNIFICANT DRIFTING OF THE SNOW IS LIKELY.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 10 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE.

* TRAVEL COULD BE VERY DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE...INCLUDING DURING
BOTH COMMUTES ON FRIDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A BLIZZARD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FALLING AND/OR
BLOWING SNOW WITH STRONG WINDS AND EXTREMELY POOR VISIBILITIES.

THIS CAN LEAD TO WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AND MAKE TRAVEL VERY
DANGEROUS.

2 Main Weather models (what is used to make a forecast, as well as many others) are the GFS (American) & The Euro (European)

Here is what they say as far as snowfall totals. Notice the Euro models (on the left) has more snow and for more areas in Eastern SD, ND and Western MN.
