Cambium - For snowfall levels I listen to the news - they use the airport, usually. For outside the metro I'm not sure what they use but the W/NW seems to get the most of whatever is going on.

Got to go finish up outside so Friday I can sit on the couch and eat bon bons. Bring it on~~~~~~~~~~~

Weather « WCCO | CBS Minnesota

Most areas will get much less than that. The metro is showing less than an inch.

Yeah, If the storm was tracking towards La Crosse then Minneapolis would of gotten a big snowstorm.

Cant win them all.

Enjoy today and get things done... Temps drop during the day tomorrow with snow (not all of MN of course)

Here's Alexandria's forecast. Doesn't look like much melting afterwards either.. And remember, with a High pressure coming over the area after the storm it's going to feel like a freezer with the fresh snowpack Saturday night.

As expected, upgraded to Blizzard Warning now for those areas and expanded the Watches as well as the Winter Storm Warnings

BTW ---- The last time that area was under a Blizzard Warning was Feb 8, 2016.

For Northeast Minnesota it's been since March 1, 2012.

The news people say it's the high wind Friday that will make whatever happens with snow that much worse. I plan to have a fire going, good grub and then, what~~ever.

Hard to believe the NE hasn't had a blizzard since 2012 but it is the N/NW area that seems to get hit.
