I thought Westward Ho was in Dadeland? The Gold Triangle was at the site currently occupied by Publix across the street.

Malibu grand prix across the street from Mall of the Americas for go-karts and arcades

Everglades Lumber, Zayres, X-tra supermarket, Lurias, J-Byrons, Service Merchandise, Don Carters, Hot Wheels...good times, good times!

Anyone remember the stores called the Treasury? They had a department store and groceries all in one building with a folded-plate front overhang. They became service merchandise/Home Depot and some Marshalls. 1/2 of it still stands on US-1 next to BrandsMart

Oh yes, I remember that Mr. Donut. Used to be on 87th Ave near Coral Way, where the McDonald's is now. I have a lot of memories there. They used to actually make their own donuts there - not brought in on a truck!

Anybody remember Trail Bowl, a bowling alley on SW 8th Street/Tamiami Trail, just east of 97th Ave? I used to go there when I was in jr. high, in the early 80's.

Is Arbetter's Hot Dogs still on Bird Road? That place had/has been there so long, it's a landmark. My BMXing best friend's brother used to work there.

Yes I remember going there during 4'th grade summer camp. It closed in the early 80's and it is listed in an old phone book I have from 1983. One of many that are long gone.

OMG I was born and raised in Miami and I remember all places mention in the posts. So sad to say pretty much all have been reeplaced with something else. Although I think Wolfie's is still around, I think.?? I use to love the Tropicaire/Flea Market at the drive in on Bird Road. Castle Park, OMG does anyone remember Midway Skating Center off Flager and 84th? The old Midway Mall, now Mall of the Americas. Times have changed, Miami has changed... I want the old MIA back!!!
