It is amazing how different Miami was before 1980.

What was the name of that golfing/race car place near Mall of the Americas? Was it "Castle Park" or "Grand Prix race-a-rama"? I cannot remember its name for the life of me.

there was a water park by the ft Lauderdale airport I cant remember the name, it was closed to expand the airport I remember crossing the old rr track at ravens wood and a little north of the now bridge over pass to the airport We used to go "under" 95 instead of over. I used to get off st rd 84 and make a right and aright (15 ave) and head south to the water park

For a while it was a Six Flags Atlantis, but I seem to recall it might have had another name prior to that.

I drove past that area the other night. It looks like the building has either reopened or is close to reopening. They never did tear it down. The frame stayed intact on the outer walls and looks mostly the same as previously.

The sign says, "Southeast Veterinary Neurology."

Just saw that last week. They had stripped the building and got the drywall and cheap drop ceilings to reconfigure it. Probably a good location for an animal hospital.

One more place to add to the list is the Koger Executive center. It seems to have been almost completely wiped out for the new "downtown Doral". My first business location was in one of those buildings which is completely gone. Despite the fact that a lot of the office space there was for government offices it was a very well kept, and inexpensive office park. The best looking office park in all of the Miami area is now replaced by eyesore condos and postmodern office buildings. All that greenspace is gone, replaced by Doralazuela style.
