Please provide credible sources for this claim. When and IF you do provide such source, (after feverishly googling to find some obscure source to support your argument), please elaborate further on why a freedman would own an enslaved person…could it be they “purchased” their own family member with the intention of freeing them? Jeez, you belong on Stormfront dude.

The historian James Oakes, in 1982, stated that:

[t]he evidence is overwhelming that the vast majority of black slaveholders were free men who purchased members of their families or who acted out of benevolence". After 1810, Southern states made it increasingly difficult for any slaveholders to free slaves. Often the purchasers of family members were left with no choice but to maintain, on paper, the owner–slave relationship. In the 1850s "there were increasing efforts to restrict the right to hold bondsmen on the grounds that slaves should be kept 'as far as possible under the control of white men only.'

Nothing but half truths and lies coming from you and many others.

Why so defensive? All I did was ask a question that you didn’t answer

So what is your ambiguous post trying to convey? Can you clarify?

Hey maybe they should code, although with the rise of AI it’ll be an uphill battle for junior developers…BTW, I do code! Heard I’m pretty good at it too…I’m 39 with a HHI over $300k so you and anyone else here have VERY little ability to affect me personally - Blessed to say due to my hard work, I live well.

It's not just about making people "feel" something. Not sure where you got that. The advantages white people have that others don't consist of fairer treatment due to their skin color. If you do research you will see that there an abundance of evidence that this still occurs. Asians are discriminated against...there were plenty of reports of this happening in the wake of covid, but not nearly to the scale which blacks have experienced. The fact that one group is faring better doesn't prove that another group isn't being discriminated against. DEI removes the possibility of this sort of thing.

Well, it should upset everyone if non-white people face barriers to living in those "white areas". Debate civilly, that post comes across as being very condescending.

Total rubbish.

Do tall people have advantages? how about strong people or smart people? those are things that can not be changed. Racism is a feeling so yes... It's absolutely about feelings because there is no objective mechanisms in place that prevent anyone from receiving the treatment they are entitled to. There are no laws, no systemic racism. In fact minorities have more advantages than white people... I know, I did (part) of the hiring at an electric utility. DEI can not fix feeling or any of those things... all DEI does is divide by level of assigned or perceived victimhood.

Here is the definition of DEI : All white people are racist. That statement alone is racist.
