"Your on money w/ my tiring of heat and humidity. But as far as survival ie if there are major earth quakes or shifts FL will be underwater, the state in and of it's self has become over populated for my tastes, no real option to disappear here if need be. You mentioned the National forrests well I'll go out on a limb to say it holds nothing on the Western or NE Mtns. I've always been told to get to the mountains, I'm assuming for the exscpainng flooding, global warming or financial collapse that the mtns would offer the best to get away from all the violence that would be in cities."

LOL
But just for the record, I am a successful home schooling parent. Both my children did well on the ACT (28 and 26, both only took it once, and you know, there was no way I could "help" them with that!), got scholarships to college. Older graduated magna *** laude, and younger has two years under the belt with a 3.5 GPA.
Both frequently join me in when I read the local paper, which is usually full of errors, and when we listen to the anchors and reporters on the local news. LOL They are good spellers and are pretty good in grammar....as good as kids steeped in internet culture can be.
