Just received an e-mail addressed to entire office: "I'm going to loose power." I just don't get it. I just don't. I am pretty sure it was not autocorrect in this case. Not sure if autocorrect is to blame for this rampant, crazy spelling of lose. Nonetheless, I'm about to pop a blood vessel if I keep seeing it everywhere I turn!!!
Two days ago, a local newspaper published an article about a new program that allows people to honor deceased loved ones by paying for a memorial plaque to be placed on a park bench. In addition to allowing people to honor someone dear to them, it also raises some funds for park maintenance.
Despite the fact that this is a new program, the article states "These Tribute Benches provided an opportunity to remember the deceased..."
Later in the article, the writer informs his readers that, "The criteria is..."
