I tan quickly, and never burn. People recently have been commenting on my face being tanned and having an olive complexion. I only burnt once in my life and that was on my first trip to Spain when I was a kid, but not since then. Maybe the sun in Florida would be a shock, but I would certainly get used to it.
My poor mother, on the other hand, burns fast, and never tans - she's pale, a natural redhead and has freckles. Thank goodness my father has dark skin to offset the uber paleness of my mother (who has Irish ancestry).
My skin absorbs the sun very well, but it has to be in small doses. If I went outside and tanned for 15 minutes a day, everyday, I start looking Greek.

People like "saxon forest" and "traveler1488" are so annoying lol. According to them, since I am about 3/4 Iberian, I get put into their Type IV box, nevermind the fact that I'm a borderline Type II/III.

Owen really, seriously, needs to go to England for uni. He's lived in his Northern Irish bubble for far too long.
Down here, the majorty of 'ethnic British' people have brown or dark brown hair, and can tan easily. Pasty white people with red hair are very rare. NI contains 2.8% of the UK population, SE England contains about 30% of our population.
Ah ya and how many of that 30% is immigrant or descended from immigrants?
Anyway my granda is like that but thats because we know full well that he has foreign ancestry like back 200 years from Spain or something obviously I didn't take from him because I have blue eyes and am pure white.
Anyone who tans obviously has some ancestry from a hot country because people from cold countries don't tan sorry. Oh and btw the SE of England is beside Europe so it is easy to have them tan. I don't even compare NI or Scotland with the SE of England because its just an anomaly, you know its more like France than here really.
I'm 7/8 Finnish (probably, we apparently have some very distant German relatives, like from some 200 years ago) and 1/8 Swedish, skin type III and I tan rather well.
I probably tan well because we see the sun even sometimes, unlike NI.
BTW, I'm switching to British English, so feel free to correct me if some other term would be more suitable in my messages.
