The flight for one person is at least £500!
Yet when I spoke of my holidays to Hawaii costing around £2000 you said that was very expensive??

£2000 is a lot of money... it doesn't grow on trees!

Just because your daddy is rich it doesn't mean that others can simply fork out £2000 + £100s more on souvenirs/other expenses. Holidays are expensive and that is equivalent to about a month working for an average salary

£2000 is a lot of money - but it's all relative. £200,000 is a lot of money to anyone who isn't a millionaire, but for a house, it's not expensive. Flying is not cheap.

We're off to the Gold Coast in a few days. I've planned on NZ$10000, for a family of five, for two weeks.

Ahh I have booked a cheap holiday to Nice with some friends for a week in June

£80 return flights
£10 per night for hostel

£150 overall with about 200 euros spending money.. now that is a pretty cheap holiday IMO.

Its really not!!! £2,000 is not a lot of money at all, especially for a family holiday.
The car costs almost £1,000.

Ok so do you have £2000 for a holiday??

It is a lot for a holiday.. not if you are going far away, but then I tend to stay in Europe for a family of 6 and get a good deal for about £1500 for all of us
