£150 overall with about 200 euros spending money.. now that is a pretty cheap holiday IMO.

Good for you but we will probably spend that in about 5 secs when we get off the plane to do the shopping. One time we booked a flight to London with Ryanair for 1p it was so hilarious. It was so unbelievable that you could actually get on the plane and do that!

It is a lot for a holiday.. not if you are going far away, but then I tend to stay in Europe for a family of 6 and get a good deal for about £1500 for all of us
I don't think it is?

My parents spend more than that every year and most people I know do and they aren't rich either.

It was the start now its like £40.

You should become a member of a frequent flyer club and slowly build up your milage. I will be joining one. Trying to get a frequent flyer club that has loads of airlines.
Unfortunately my mum has taken the miles for this trip. Trying to get the miles off her but she will not give them to me.

We see the planes coming in from the Portrush air show but thats really all besides the Ryanair planes. Transatlantic flights are over the house constantly 24/7 but you can't see these without binos.

Well, thankfully here I get to see everything from ATR's to A380's .

In India, I used to see everything from puss moths to 747's .

I have been on an Emirates A 380 to JFK. But my best flights ever were being upgraded to first class on a Boeing 777-300, 8 hours of royal treatment thanks to frequent flyer benefits , and I was lucky enough to have this happen TWICE .

Why don't you go through London and then take BA to EWR. That route uses 777's.

757's are crap. I did DFW to NYC in a 757 long back, and it was so noisy. Built in the Mid 80's those things are almost 30 years old now.
