Yesterday's afternoon temps. Lake cooling is evident. 20+ degree difference between lakeshore communities and inland suburbs. IKK reached 71F, ORD 70F, and MDW 69F. Still below normal.... Only 50s on the lake and downtown Chicago.
Some warmer days coming later this week but no heatwaves at all in the foreseeable future. Looks like a cool mid June period. Hope that it's a progressive pattern and temps rebound after that. The Northeast might have it worse off then we do here....
It's not anywhere near summer yet. A nasty 80f for a low this morning and a dew point that sucks the life out of ya thanks to a reverse west windflow. No chance of any rain.
If TWC is correct with their extended forecast this could be the coolest start to summer here since 2009
Only one day that's average, the rest are well below until the end of the forecast. Forecast in celsius but basically low 70s where temps should be close to 80 degrees. This summer will be a waste.

Makes sense as a ridge is supposed to move into the west next week
