Rhinelander's Avg date of last freeze is May 25th so would be little late but nothing extreme. In 1999 it hit freezing June 15th

Here's their forecast

Widespread 30s in NY and PA Tuesday June 4th. Binghamton's Avg Last 40°F temp is May 26th. Last time they dipped below 40 after June 3rd was in 1998

Another look

of course the Canadian model has the exact opposite forecast for the Midwest and Western US for the 6-10 day period... I wonder which will be correct.

the Canadian agrees with the GFS in the 11-15 day.... NO SUMMER here
I'd be perfectly happy with the below normal weather for Oklahoma it's showing.

Yesterday's afternoon temps. Lake cooling is evident. 20+ degree difference between lakeshore communities and inland suburbs. IKK reached 71F, ORD 70F, and MDW 69F. Still below normal.... Only 50s on the lake and downtown Chicago.

Oklahoma summers are hot enough that below normal is still a toasty summer there. Look at this crap

Temps moderate a bit after today but then storm chances increase too

Some warmer days coming later this week but no heatwaves at all in the foreseeable future. Looks like a cool mid June period. Hope that it's a progressive pattern and temps rebound after that. The Northeast might have it worse off then we do here....

It's not anywhere near summer yet. A nasty 80f for a low this morning and a dew point that sucks the life out of ya thanks to a reverse west windflow. No chance of any rain.

Current temps. My sister said they have the wood stove on for heat, 30s there this morning.

I see some blue on the map too. #Snow

Rhinelander at 38, not even close to 32 but the suburbs are. Sun coming up now.

If TWC is correct with their extended forecast this could be the coolest start to summer here since 2009

Only one day that's average, the rest are well below until the end of the forecast. Forecast in celsius but basically low 70s where temps should be close to 80 degrees. This summer will be a waste.

Makes sense as a ridge is supposed to move into the west next week
