The summer of 1993 was very hot up and down the East Coast, though June was the least hot of the three months. July had triple-digit heat as far north as Providence, and a triple-digit heat wave as far north as New York City. The South was bone dry too. Athens, GA had less than 5.00" of rain from June 1-August 31 that year, and 11 days of triple-digit heat (10 in July, one in August).

Interesting, thanks! For some reason I remember the hot summers of the 1990s and the humid summers of 2010s.
I thought you said you were near Tarpon Springs, and that's not THAT far from Tampa that the weather would be noticeable different
12 miles north and that can make all the diff in the world in rainfall amounts. And 28 miles from Tampa.
As i always say, local amounts will vary with rainfall. Look at last summer for FL. Inland places like Lakeland saw over 70" while my area and others on the coast saw around 40", then Dec saved me with 10" alone. I had around 50" total last year. I can go weeks without rain in the summer. not like i get rain everyday.
No two cities will have the same rainfall totals kitty. One place can get 5" in a day while 4 miles away not a drop.
Best you guys study some rainfall amounts in parts of FL as where you live can make all the diff in the world.
Jeez that would bring some very chilly air into the region.

I don't think this June will be hot out east. They are forecasting a Negative NAO, but it seems that it will impact Europe more than North America
Look at that jet stream dip in California and in Europe right now
