I don't see any rain for another week or more. This is gonna be like June 2011.
Looks like it will rain next Wednesday but not much.
Just looking at Havana, Cuba's forecast and it's pretty rainy. I thought they were drier though. Perhaps the pattern is allowing them to "steal" your rain and uh...thunder?
1. High pressure coming from Canada. Clockwise spin spilling cold air down.
2. Jet stream / Trough digging down to Mid Atlantic
3. 534 Heights? Cold enough for snow under that Upper Low. lol

Sunday and Sunday night an unusually strong upper level troughfor this time of year will plow southeastward from central Ontarioto the Lower Great Lakes...with increasing DCVA/height falls on itseastern flank helping to energize a surface low that will steadilylift from Southern Ontario to central Quebec. In the process...thislatter feature will quickly sweep its trailing cold front acrossour region during Sunday morning.
the big story Sunday night through Monday night
will be a return to well below normal temperatures...as strong cold
advection associated with the digging upper trough drives 850 mb temps downward to between -1C and -3C Sunday night into Monday...with only
modest recovery of these then subsequently taking place later Monday
and Monday night. This will translate into temperatures mostly falling into the lower to mid 40s Sunday night and then struggling to get much above the lower to mid 50s on Monday...with the rather cool readings further exacerbated by an increasingly brisk westerly to west-northwesterly wind. The coldest overall temperatures will then come Monday night...
when the axis of the surface ridge will slide across our region and
corresponding radiational cooling of our still rather cool airmass
will result in overnight lows ranging from the upper 30s across interior
portions of the Southern Tier and North Country to the lower to mid
40s elsewhere. Compared to early June normals...such readings will
average 5 to 10 degrees below normal Sunday and Monday nights...and 15 to 20 degrees below average during the day Monday.

Most times they get more rain than i do 9 out of 10 times. Plus we are in a reverse west windflow so rain will build east of me and move away toward the east coast. This has been the normal pattern since the mid 80's.
That is crazy. I can see back to back but 6 out of 10?
Maybe not as extreme but this May is now the wettest on record beating last May. Five of the ten wettest May's have occurred here within the last 25 years

Mays now feel almost like summer. The main difference is that summer months (July - September) have more consistent sunshine.
