Will this summer go the way of 1983, 1999, or 2012? All crap Junes, 3 very different summers.

That would be catastrophic, but would make several people on here very happy indeed.

You don't think we will get any normal summer conditions this year? I at least think we will see an average July, before the inevitable collapse in August. We will still be waiting for a sunnier than average August in 2030

Wish it was 2012 for us...

Actually felt warm today. 4pm partly sunny 85F/29C at IKK, with a dew point of 65F/18C. Its 84F/29C at MDW, and 82F/28C at ORD.

The weather has been stuck on extreme the past several years. Haven’t you noted that?I would prefer a summer 2010 repeat, just enough rain overall for the season and lots of high dew points and high heat indices

Last year we had a hot summer, but there hasn't been extreme anything other than cloudiness in most of the last few years here. 2013 and 2014 were average or sunny. 2015-2017 not much happened.

2010 definitely won't happen for us this year. June that year was warm and sunny for one. A repeat of August 2010 is a definite possibility though - cool, wet, record cloudy.
