2.8°F above normal here. The average high is almost 5 degrees above (90.8°F), while the average low is less than one degree (66.5°F).

High yesterday was 97°F (36°C), and we’re forecast to reach the mid 90s again today & tomorrow.

Don't worry. I feel like you declared summer over in mid-July but that didn't pan out. August in Indy has been 1.5F above normal so far. July was almost 3F above normal. We had our 17th 90F day yesterday and we typically average 18 per year. So I'll believe it when I see it. That said, a cooler Labor Day is fine with me as our family reunion is that weekend either outdoors or in a non-air conditioned building. So hot and humid Labor Days are never fun for me!

Yeah winds have shifted to come from the east and it's not as humid like it was.

It's hard for me to imagine how horrible a much hotter than normal July or August would be. This August is only running 0.7F above normal (averaging 95.3/72.5F), and July was even 1.8F below normal (averaging 92.8F/69.5F), yet I've been wanting summer to be over for three weeks now.

Ugh, our high ended up being 99°F today. So close. Still, it’s the hottest day since 2012.

You hit 105 in 2012? WOW. 99° was the max here as well this year (yes, I said "was", lol) but it was the warmest since 2011 not 2012.
