Got lucky and got almost the normal amount of rain for July already. Bits of energy keep coming down from the north giving us lift in the west gulf. 6.9" so far and that blows away the totals for the last few July's.

Cloudy and muggy in Fort Worth Texas late this afternoon and this evening. Still expecting an uptick in high temperatures starting tomorrow and lasting for the next several days. A heat advisory has been posted by the national weather service and the heat advisory starts tomorrow and likely lasts through Wednesday evening and there is a possibility that the heat advisory could be extended beyond that timeframe for North Texas. Heat and humidity mean the possibility of the heat index reaching as high as around 110 F, with locally even higher heat indices where humidity is highest.

After being in Göle 2 winters, which is the coldest town in Turkey throughout the year, I will go to Cizre on 19th July, which has the hottest summers in Turkey.

I already went to Göle 2 winters but Cizre will be my first time this summer. This summer so far, the highest temp recorded in Cizre was 44.2°C. And in the middle of July, I aim to experince higher temperatures for sure. I will stay there for 5 days.

On 2nd July, Göle had a low of -1.3°C, which was the lowest temperature recorded in Turkey this July.

A bit warmer tomorrow away from the lake with upper 80s. Around 90 degrees on Wednesday with the possibility of severe storms

Meanwhile, we haven't managed to get past 95F here yet this summer. Upper 90's had been forecast the past couple of days but the temp has been underachieving.

Hot enough though right? LOL

Temps may approach 90 in some spot around Chicagoland today. The lakeshore will stay in the mid 70s. Tomorrow evening looks very interesting

Weekend looks hot. Nice pattern change after such a lousy first 3 weeks of summer here. Let's see if this July can make up for June's -2.4F anomaly First 8 days of July we are at +3.8F

Next week looks hot too. Analogs match pattern

Just keep the rain and clouds over me. I don't want to see the sun until Dec.

At 6:30am, I'm at 69f, with a dew point of 69. Going to be a hot one today, high 87, low 70.

Temps drop a lot tomorrow at least. I hate it when the lows are above 60's.
