A nasty 78f here with rain offshore. Low will wrap around and move away pulling in dry air for much less rain by Friday and the weekend.

Current thinking is that July will remain above normal and possibly even eliminating the June temperature deficit here

Don't know what role the tropical storm in the Gulf will play in the coming days. Looks like it will swing west into Texas and then migrate north as far as Southern/Central Illinois. Counter clockwise rotation is sure to tug Gulf Coast humidity into the region

Hot today. At 9am its 84F/29C at IKK with a dew point of 75F/24C. Heat index 91F/33C. Its 83F/28C at MDW and 82F/28C at ORD

Gfs says Louisiana will get hit and the storm will curve up and east while the EURO has it hitting further west near or in Texas. Bastardi thinks EURO is more likely and that the storm may reach strong Cat 1 or Cat 2

Not me. Keep 6" of rain a week coming and solid clouds till Dec. If i never saw a 80f+ it would be too soon. Not much rain today so far. I was hoping for another 4" today.

Yup. It's currently 94F with a dewpoint of 75, leading to a heat index of 105. In Burneyville along the Texas border the temperature is the same but the dewpoint is 79, leading to a heat index of 112. You can see maps of temperature and humidity here, but I'm not allowed to post images because of the copyright policy: https://www.mesonet.org/index.php/we...ir_temperature
