After hitting the upper 80s the past couple days with "fairly" comfortable dewpoints in the mid-60s, clouds moving in should keep us in the mid-80s today with rain arriving later this afternoon. First rain in a week so I welcome it, especially with the next chance of rain not arriving for another week after this! Temps fall back into the low-80s the next couple days after this, then rebound back to around normal by the end of the week and above normal once again by the coming weekend, normal of course being 84F this time of year.
Past few days brought the averages down, but should still finish comfortably around the top 5 warmest months on record. A throwback to the hot Julys of 2010-2013
Göle had a low of 2.6°C today, which was the lowest temperature recorded in Turkey today while Mihalgazi had a high of 42.1°C today, which was the highest temperature recorded in Turkey today.
Cizre had the second warmest high with 41.8°C today.
Looks like Central Anatolia is affected by an unusual heat wave to a great degree. That's something unusual for Mihalgazi, which is a very low elevated district in Central Anatolia.

We climbed up to a high of 86F earlier this afternoon. Then a line of showers and storms came through and that has dropped us all the way down to 71F at the moment.
No rain in 3 days but should end up with around 11" for the month unless we get more the last two days. I will be 100 miles offshore on Wends thru Fri fishing.
Sunny and dry for the next week, once again. Temps a bit cooler the next couple days, but only a couple degrees below normal in the low 80s. Then it looks to be mid 80s through the end of the week and the weekend. Pretty much right at or slightly above normal. Normal is 84F this time of year. The nice thing is humidity will remain low with dewpoints in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Not too bad for the first of August. But I could really use some more rain! Yesterday's quick shot was just not enough.
