You got your wish as record heat in parts of the country will be like never seen before in the coming weeks. This was a record hot June world wide.
How did I get my wish when June was two and a half degrees below average here? But you're right, globally this was the hottest June on record. That doesn't help me though

My weather is very similar to parts of WV. My husband works in WV alot during the summer months and we've compared. I'm at elevation so many areas around me are warmer with higher dew points and humidity.
I was talking about the up coming weeks you will get your wish with more heat.
I don't trust the CFSV2 though. It flips to often with each run. I'll stay cautiously optimistic that it's going to verify or at least the cool down being forecasted by the GFS and Euro wont be too anomalous and wont last long.
Between 32 and 35C (90-95F) in my area at the moment, depending on the station.
"Feels like" is around 40 Canadian most everywhere, or just over 100 American (I think.)
This has been the hottest day of the summer so far I am pretty sure, but it's pretty much been similar
to this every day since the "official" start of summer around June 24. Prior to that it was total crap.
Gonna be a sticky bike ride home from work in a few minutes. Hopefully the pool water isn't too warm to cool me off.
