What a dreary year this has been

https://wgntv.com/2019/06/30/storms-...in-week-ahead/

Today and tomorrow will be hot (up to 34C in parts of the metro area) and probably the last chance for 90 degrees (32C) in the city fore the foreseeable future

Canadian SIP says a transition to drier end of summer and autumn for the Midwest. Might be seeing the demise of El Nino??

Ben also tweeted this about El Nino weakening

But Bastardi says no. A weak El Nino isnt going anywhere anytime soon

No point in posting if you’re gonna post all of this negative bullocks. This has been the lamest summer I’ve seen in recent memory. Fort Worth Texas hasn’t even reached 100 F so far this summer

The average first 100 at DFW is June 28th, so it's not freakishly late yet

They have a contest in Austin about when the first 100 degree day will be.

It still hasn't hit it, but it got close (97) a few times. Heat dome to expand next week. Mid to upper 90's possible.

That's the GFS days 8-15 and you probably will see only slightly cooler conditions downstream if this forecast verifies. It probably will. But the brunt of the cool may actually be in the Plains. Here is the 10-15 day.

At least this week looks ok here. Hot tomorrow then, stormy with highs in the upper 80s away from Lake Michigan

High was 89F at IKK and ORD, 91F at MDW and at the Chicago Executive Airport

This is interesting from the ECMWF. Looks like a deep trough in Europe and the Newfoundland/Northeast US. Huge Greenland AND Alaskan blocking ridge. Cancel warm weather for July..
