I'm seeing around -18°C for downstate NY; as cold as -21°C in western Massachusetts from models shown in weather.us

Arctic High is making the move and the Arctic front is approaching.

By tomorrow morning the front will be off the coast and as far south as Richmond

59f here and no real weather headed my way anytime soon. Rain just can't make it to me. Only 5" total since the end of Aug.

Airmass aloft this morning to this weekenk. Whooosh. New England inside the core of this push. Doesn't last. Warming trend this weekend. If there was some big blocking in the North Atlantic this thing wouldn't leave this fast and in fact it would push south much more.

But man that's some interesting cold inside there.

Below freezing blues would be cold enough for this time of year let alone purples.

Looks like Miami will be the warm spot and the place to be for the next two weeks. Or Hawaii.

Cold in northeast Georgia this morning, but not quite freezing. The lowest temperature I've seen for any of the hourly observations in Athens is 34°F. High temperatures should be around 60°F today and tomorrow, with sunny skies. Perfect weather to start setting up my Christmas lights.

Looks like I'm in store for another cold-air damming event on Friday, with cold rain and temperatures in the 40s. Perfect weather for staying in, eating Thanksgiving leftovers and watching football all day. Here's the slate of college football games on Friday:

Noon/early afternoon

Nebraska at Iowa
Houston at Memphis
Texas at Kansas
Buffalo at Bowling Green State
Akron at Ohio
Central Michigan at Toledo
Eastern Michigan at Kent State

Mid-/late afternoon

Arkansas at Missouri
Coastal Carolina at South Alabama
Virginia at Virginia Tech
East Carolina at Cincinnati
Central Florida at South Florida
Oregon at Oregon State

Evening

Oklahoma at West Virginia
Washington at Washington State

I'm'a get my fill on Friday!

Elsewhere, there appears to be freezing FAWG in Memphis right now, and it's good that California is getting some rain to put out the wildfires and build up the snowpack in the mountains.
