Cold and cloudy all day. Started snowing off and on since 5 pm or so. A bit is sticking.

The 7 day forecast looks mild and boring.

I can't help but wonder if this poem posted by someone on another weather forum will end up being the actual outcome of winter:

If you're wanting this winter to suck
Then you, my friend, are in luck.
It's going to be warm and the hot sun will shine.
And predictions of snow have become asinine.

Siberian snow records fall
But that doesn't matter at all.
The NAO hates you, the EPO too.
Your dreams of snow crushed by the PDO screw.

So put all your snow toys away
And head out to the lake for a day
And feel the warm breeze while the sun makes you sneeze
Since your vision of snow was only a tease.

I guess I'll just have to hope the four-week-away cold verifies: http://www.accuweather.com/en/weathe...month/38511510

Might get a little chilly in the UK by next weekend. Let see how the models handle the Nor'Easter and how it may pump up or drop down the jet stream over Northwest Europe.

We got a snow covering. Switched to rain. Probably will melt all the snow sometimes tomorrow morning.

Major warm up still looking very likely all of next week

Still around by December 18th

But look what the Euro does by Christmas.

and the Euro by the end of the month

^^

Based on this forecast, that would be a very storm end of December!

CFS is also encouraging for January
