No, I said might get cold. Look at post #622. If the CFS is correct, and also that analog. Ireland, and much of the UK is clear NOT in the cold zone.

WSI Energy is basing this forecast off of teleconnections saying that a "Massive Indian Ocean MJO event" is on the horizon and this usually translates to a positive anomaly for eastern CONUS.

Here is the latest Euro model on the SSW event. Looks as if we are going to start winter off with a bang here.




Warming starting to occur in the stratosphere. Whether this warming travels down into the troposphere is another question



BUT are we going to stay cold?

Latest CFS panel torches CONUS for the month as a whole... WTF?
