Ok. However, snowfall frequency is a poor measure of how cold it is. It measures how often you get cold with precipitation. Our setup is that below average cold tends to be dry. Go west to upstate NY at the same latitude and below average cold is somewhat wetter and therefore more snow, especially off season.

Yes its clear that as you care it is quite interesting. Yes we see snow in May and it is easier to get than there as it is about 25c there by then.

I look forward to seeing your expert photography skills on show again when you get all that snow in May.

My top 3 Interesting Stats of today...
  • The 0°F this morning in Bangor Maine is the latest in the season Bangor has reached the 0°F mark on record! Since 1925 it has never hit 0° this late until now.
  • Lake Superior ice once again expanded to 92% coverage. Almost April now.
  • Dulles picked up 1.4" today so far, giving them a total of 50.4" on the season which is 3rd snowiest winter on record.

Wow, what a storm track. If this model run comes true, it'd be unbelievable how lucky much of the Delmarva peninsula has been getting with these March snowstorms, even more than it already is. And the Jersey Shore too. lol. We've been getting kind of lucky, too, but not as much as they are.

Have to drive back from my class rather late tonight. Seems like it'll probably be snowing by then. Hope so. Driving in snow (when is there isn't too much traffic, which there won't be) is fun.

For those wondering... This NorEaster's pressure will be up there with memorable storms. Can you imaging if it was closer to the coast?? We would be measuring snow in feet from DC to Maine.
