80 MPH is bad, not to mention the much higher wind gusts. The storm caused damage.

How often do you experience 80 mph winds?

Anyone thinks that we are going to have a sustained warming trend this April? Not likely.....

Yeah, I'm not seeing a hot trend but we will be warmer than we have been. I don't see extremes either way. I think we battle between seasonable and cooler than normal periods. So for here that's upper 40s & 50s for few days, then low-mid 40s during the day for few days. I don't see 30s anymore, I don't see 60s for here.

Here's New Preston, CT. Lat 41.68°N Isn't that like Northern Portugal? March 27, 2014. Elevation 650'

You know its spring when the coast is cooler than the interior.

37° Islip. 43° Hartford.
31° Nantucket. 43° Boston Wonder if Nantucket still has snowcover which is preventing them from going above freezing still at 3pm with sun high above.

There it is... Jet stream lifting up and out.

Current Map... freezing line at 850mb pushing north, warm southerly flow aloft pushing in. Shaded colors are temps at 4500'. Numbers are the surface.

Forecasted 850mb temps tomorrow...

5-10C over the area. We'll be in the 50s(F) tomorrow.

why is S.FL ALWAYS ABOVE average!! above average winters are good above average springs are not. while we are not in a drought atm it doesn't take long for a drought to develop here since most of our plants require a lot of rain typically at least 1in per week.

Funny how it felt warm today but we were still below normal on both the max and min. I was in short sleeves outside at 41F.

Earliest NYC hit 75F was Feb 24,1985.
Latest was May 24,1873
Average is April 11th
