Why isn't Florida nearly as cloudy?
It's not a desert and it's around the same longitude.

It's a beautiful 9 Celcius. That's 48 Farienheit for my American Friends. The sun is shining, and the birds are singing. Windy as all get out though.

Beautiful day here in Northern Maine. Sunny and around 60 for the high today. Of course there are still some folks up here who are displaced out of their homes due to flooding, but the waters are slowly receding and roads are being opened back up bit by bit. Might be a while before all the bridges to Canada are back open due to having to be inspected for damage from the water pressure on the SIDE of them. Hopefully no damage.

Danny, I like cold but what kind of place doesn't even have one leaf on a tree in early May? Sheesh, ours just finished leafing out.

UMMM, South Dakota. I'm not Danny, but I'd doubt that either of the Dakotas or Minn. or Wyo. or Mont. have any leaves on their trees yet. Our trees are just starting to bud out over here. (southeastern SD)

In OK, you guys have a MUCH earlier springtime and a later autumn. We were there in mid-Oct. and just a few of your trees were turning colors. I understand that they do it fully about the first week in Nov. WELL, when we got home, there wasn't a leaf left on our trees.

Yeah, we were in upstate New York last Memorial day and they were still coming out over there. May is clearly Springtime, there outta be some resemblance of Spring by nowThen again it's still distinctly Summer here when the first day of Fall arrives. If you're lucky you can look at the leaves and see the slightest hint of yellow, but you pretty much have to blink.

Now, our neighbors have I believe a bradford pear in their backyard that put out buds in March but never produced flowers or leaves. I sure hope it's not completely dead it's beautiful every Spring. There's just been no growth off of it and all trees have some growth and 90% are completely leafed out. So I'm banking that it's dead.
