The rain showers coming through the "Cheshire Gap" gradually turned to sleet, and then snow with big flakes about 2:45PM.
Further snow showers continued in the evening, some heavy with hail and thunder & lightning about 8:20PM. I wouldn't mind if it did that every time it's gonna snow!
We now have 2cm or so of ice/snow covering everything, but very gradually thawing.
