Yeah, people start looking forward to a warm, sunny spring, but they are almost always followed by cold summers or very wet summers.

Becoming very dry in New Hampshire with 0.05 inches of precipitation so far this month. Hardly any snow or rain. Awful pattern!

The dryness might good since we got so much rain last year. Should good to have time for the soil to dry out and become unsaturated.

Also, so far this February is running about 7°F above average, and warmer are ahead.

I was surprised at how saturated the soil was when you posted that chart several days ago.

Should be in the mid-50s this week. A depressing end to the ski season. Hopefully we can eke out one more weekend down here.

I think we're dry here, nowhere near enough moisture this winter but we're not as dry as say Minnesota or the far NW portion of Wisconsin.

We're dry here as well. Only 5 mm / 0.2" since the beginning of the month, and January was already dry.
7/-4°C (45/24°F) an sunny today. Mid-fifties fahrenheit are forecasted for the end of the week, but it shall stay cooler here than across the Channel. A sign that "winter" isn't over yet.

Temperatures could reach 17C/63F here this week, a date record might be broken, but date records are always being broken.

Your local ski area is close to closing? It must be a mild winter.

Mid August would be the peak of the season here. The biggest snowfalls are usually during spring. Is it the same there?

I heard end of February, but I'm not sure. No matter how good the winter is, they always close by March 15th or so. The last two winters were excellent (consistently cold and snowy). This year we struggled to open at the end of December. Fortunately most nights were below freezing, so it wasn't a complete dud of a season. Conditions may have been decent for all I know, I didn't get a chance to get on the mountain this year.

Biggest snowfalls here are usually Dec, Jan, and Feb, but it can snow anytime from November to April. We've had blizzards in April. What's the elevation and average snowfall in your region?

With the way the weather has been, maybe the waterpark will be open by April. Lol jk.
