0.02 hours of sunshine today to take us up to 2.17 hours for the first third of the month; or 0.197 hours per day.

28F this morning here. Believe it or not, the last frost dates from October 21st, a good month and a half ago!
It reminds me of 2009, when we had a frost on October 19th, then nothing till December 13th.

Wow, we've had 17 times more sunshine here - up to 36 hours, already more than last December, and skies are currently cloudless

Friday 16th's "storm" has now completely disappeared from all model runs as anything you could call a storm, just showing typical gusts to 30mph in England now as a typical depression. Obviously, I knew that would happen, but clearly lots of people on the UK weather forums were hyping it up.

I was referring mainly to netweather.tv for example. I don't read any tabloids or those types of news papers because they are full of sensationalist clap-trap.

I don't like netweather or ukww or their forums at all.. Too technical but often inaccurate, and not very user-friendly I found.

I often have a go at them for their senseless cold ramping and usually get banned.

I got banned from ukww just for asking a fairly sensible question, but I'd mistakenly posted on their model thread...

I didn't like the site.. too many people there are just anal about the weather and their own personal weather data.
