This I agree with!

To me, something just smells to high Heaven in this case. The "Ransom note" in itself is very odd. Written on paper from the house, extremely lengthy, and it goes into exact detail on the bonus JR was getting. How many people would know that figure ?

Then there is the fact they Lawyered up immediately. If my little girl were murdered I would be standing at the police station every day, demanding they find the killer, and if it entailed asking me questions or having suspicions, I would GLADLY volunteer any and all information I could. JR and PR hid behind some hard hitting Attorneys instead.

One thing that can not be denied is that the Ramseys, because of their wealth and position in that little community, were afforded considerations most lesser people would not have been given. They were treated with kid gloves and special treatment all the way through the event. Patsy did not come off as being very bright in the interviews I saw of her. She almost seems like one of those battered women who are afraid to say anything and will defend the guy who is beating them. To me, she just seems a little dumb.

Based on all of that, in my mind I have an unsettling feeling about their involvement in the death of that poor little girl. Could it be that Jon Benet' was starting to get to the age where she was able to verbalize what might be happening to her in that house ? That is one possibility as I see it.

Don
Good point. it is very funny this happened when they had plans to fly away. I also think there was building evidence of abuse. Not only was getting of the age where children know make believe from reality, there was the bed wetting. It was all starting to add up.

Patsy seemed stupid to me, too. Was she college educated? I could imagine her writing that note. It has an immaturity to it that she had. I've also noticed Patsy and to a degree John stammer when interviewed.

Regardless, I don't think JonBenet being in pageants is significant.

Thousands upon thousands of little girls are molested every year that have never set foot in a pageant.
From a previous post of mine:

Remember Kit Andre, the dance instructor- she said:

Patsy hired a Professional Dance Instructor, Kit Andre to teach JonBenet the Cowboys Sweetheart routine. Patsy was so over the top...butting in, getting up to dance with JonBenet, taking lot's of notes, bringing Nedra in, who bragged about Patsy's pageants. Kit knew this was something not for JonBenet, but for her mother.

JonBenet died that winter. I never saw her in a pageant. Never saw her in the cowboy costume. Never saw her do the routine I taught her until I saw that pageant video on T.V.

I saw Patsy at the memorial service in Boulder. She was pathetic, She was nothing. She was all gone. And that was the first time I ever saw John Ramsey. He was talking about what had happened. Kind of matter-of-factly. Calmly. Patsy was crying in the chapel aisle - some friend was holding her up. I wasn't going to intrude on her - she was too distraught. But then she came over to me. Of course I went to her and hugged her.

"She was a fabulous child." I told her. "She was a star."

I've looked at that pageant video several times. They made JonBenet look like a clown. Someone else taught her those pseudo-adult movements, the provacative walk, the poses, all of it.

The pageants were Patsy's gig, JonBenet was her alter ego. Patsy had the money, she had the costumes, and she had the kid. She could relive her own pageant thing. You got the picture right there. Patsy didn't have a sense of proportion about how this should fit into her child's life. What I saw on the pageant video - you don't do that to a six-year-old.

Kit Andre

Think this was taken from PMPT. I dont have all my books on the case anymore but Im pretty sure it was from that book.

That and other things make me think John and Patsy didn't have a normal parental bond with their children.
John looks worried about whats going to come out of Pats's mouth, hence he does most of the talking.

To Sig,

Have hung out at WS myself some years ago, I didnt see people being banned for disagreeing. but maybe things have changed, I havent been back there recently.

Just so you know, I am neither RDI, or JDI, or PDI, BDI or IDI. I am RKWDI- the Ramseys know who did it.

Thanks!

I have seen the cowboy video and I have never thought of it as out of line with the routines other girls her age routinely do at pageants.........and at dance studios......so I assumed her dance instructor taught her. I just don't see why Patsy should be held to a higher standard than all the rest.

She is answering a question I asked earlier.

I didn't realize that the Ramseys had taken their dog to their neighbors that day so the family could leave early the 26th on their trip.

Patsy was a veteran of pageants. I mean, in show Jonbenet is dressed up as a showgirl. Patsy knew she was sexualizing her daughter. She was living through her daughter. Patsy knew this type of behavior could be very pleasing to sick adults. I guess if the adults were judges, or imo people who benefit the Ramsey family, she was ok it. I think John was aware of the grooming. Ofcourse, he's not going to go on tv now and say pageants were good. He's throwing his dead wife under the bus. Basically "I didn't know! It's all Patsy fault." (Pageant wise.)

John Ramsey strikes me as strange. He seemed to move on from his first marriage and daughter's death fast and moved onto a new family. He's already remarried. He seems to form ver shallow imo emotional bonds.
