The first and third pic are very nice. The lot across the Woodall Rogers Fwy from the Perot Museum is planned to be a South Asian Museum.

I was pushing the point that most of the land space that makes DTH larger than DTD is indeed Parking lots. And That is the reason for 95 city blocks of tunnels(which is not good) to 30 city blocks in Dallas.

LOLOLOL... look how many empty lots were in Dallas...

psh.. the photos you used were almost all from the 60s and 70s. many of those lots are filled now and lots like that cluster of 4 blocks you posted from satellite view are rare today and steadily filling up. one of those blocks in your satellite screen shot on Main is about to break ground, to be an apartment complex.

you do realize downtown Houston is over 33% bigger than downtown Dallas, right?

as for the "Jewel of Texas" reference.. i almost spit out my drink.

most of these lots have been filled with developments including the Toyota Center, George R Brown Convention Center, Discovery Green Park, and the areas surrounding the later two are now lined/continue to be lined with towers and other new developments. not to mention the light rail lines are now going through some of the pictured area and are in the process of being lined with new developments..

heres a somewhat updated picture from a few years ago..

i dont think we need to point out the downtown Development map again with the 30 or so projects planned/going on around downtown, do we? those once infamous parking lots are slowly vanishing..

How are you making the piont that the 95 blocks of tunnesl whenI just stated that the 95 blocks are only alnog the eastern sections of the city Market sqaure,.Skyline, convetions. not the pic you showed . The pics you showed are not part of the tunnel system and therefore not in the 95 blocks equation

I thought it was a 24 story. Anyways, I wish it were more original...Atlanta has two, Houston has one, Austin has one, Charlotte has one, and now we have one.
