What does this mean, you won't need to be as critical about it? Why would you need to be more critical about one place than another? You may be more critical of one place than another, but I can't see a need to be unless you're trying to convince yourself of something.

So, I figure I must be misunderstanding what you're saying here. Could you clarify for me? (I may be doing this when you do, but I can live with that.)

Don't worry about that. I don't know anyone who drove a Lexus in Texas. I never saw a Lexus in Texas. I saw plenty of SUV's.

I see a few Lexus around my little rural town and work with someone who drives one. Some people just like them, I guess. They're not for me even if I could afford it.

The pay is NOT higher in Texas.
You're right. My comparisons are San Diego vs. Dallas in my specific line of employment and for my purposes the pay there (dallas) is higher than here (san diego). I shouldn't generalize a whole state based on my personal experiences of a particular city.....but I can say that it is in fact another reason that I miss me some Tejas .

I know, I was just kinda rhyming a little bit. I'll be the kid in a Honda Civic when I get to Texas.

My God I love those little cars. My favorite are the 92-95 Honda Civic Hatchbacks (5th generation). Reliability, great resale value, fuel efficient as you pointed out, and simple to maintain.

Many people leave Texas for different reasons. For some, the weather could be a factor. Some people leave because they don't like conservative politics. Others leave because they found a job in another states. Different reasons for different people.
