Time to trade their best players as they always do about this time of season. Pham first. Charlie Freakin Morton?

South and Downtown St. Pete sucks.

The Ray's Ownership should build a new Stadium in the center of St. Pete. The Largo area,

They studied who showed up to the games and show bought season tickets and St Pete folks have proven to be some of least supporting folks, so moving the stadium anywhere near them is a huge waste of taxpayer money.

This is a better idea: Montreal gets half of their games as a test to see if MLB will succeed up there.

Smart move, imo.

Rays to explore splitting home games with Montreal

The Rays are in 2nd place in the AL East, only 4.5 games back with half the season to play. Also, they are in one of the wild card slots currently. So with that said, why would they trade their best players this time?

that's what they do - go back the last ten seasons --- or just last season - they were a WC contender and traded one of their better pitchers Archer.

Sternberg has been trying but his investment has not been working out IMHO

I do not think the Expos did too well in Canada so this potential change for the Rays is risky

I'd consider a city like Charlotte, Vegas (indoors), Portland, Indy, OKC, Nashville.

Charlotte traffic is horrible.

Vegas could work, they could comp gamblers to attend games if they were not afraid of the Whales being away from the gambling tables.

Portland, Indianapolis, Oklahoma City I do not see the fan base strong enough to make it viable.

Nashville would be a good choice.

1. April, May, June is hot, hot, hot and still rains a lot.
2. Someone will have to pay for a stadium and land ---don't ask the taxpayers for that.
3. I'm less apt to follow the team once it leaves ---and if they're 10 games back by mid season, I wonder if Montreal Rays' fans will want to go to see a team not in the running for a playoff spot.
4. Not that the Rays sign many free agents, but why would one want to come play in TB/Montreal and establish two homes?

Good luck w/ the plan. Like the not going to Bucs and Bolts games anymore, I'm finding other ways to spend my disposable income. Rays will be next to make the cut.
