That's not in anyone's radar screen for happening, but you never know. If Orlando taxpayers put up $750 million for an indoor stadium, I bet they owners would listen. Florida doesn't really support baseball, so doubt that Orlando could produce crowds of 25k 81 nights a year......

Pretty sure the 70 million tourist that visits Orlando every year won’t might catching a game.

wouldn't count on it ---we have tourists here in Tampa/STP, too......they don't come all the way to the area to see baseball......doubt if they go to Orlando for baseball...I hear there's already a lot of other stuff to do and money to spend elsewhere....but.......you got $750 mil for a stadium, they're yours. I don't think your taxpayers are willing to shell that kind of money out.

and Orlando can't afford a state of the art MLB ballpark ---if it could, Sternberg would be there in heartbeat.

He actually doesn’t like Orlando that’s why they haven’t looked into it.

well, there you have it ---no sense discussing, right? but he likes paying customers who fill the stadium, and would move the Rays to Timbuktu if they'd have 25,000 every night and pay for his new stadium.....ain't happening in FL, though - learned that from Miami's experiment. He's a NYer who barely spends a week in FL ----so it really doesn't matter which city they move to him as long as he gets his profit.

time to let them move - to wherever....okay by me.

If Stu only cared about profit the Rays never wouldn't be nearly as successful as there are.

As always, Tampa residents are the problem, NOT the state, the owner, the tourists, not the dome, not the length of the games, etc. Tampa residents only, led by TBMorgan.
