Thousands of empty seats at the track stadium tonight. During the gymnastics over the last several days there had to be hundreds of empty seats. Even the swimming arena had swaths of empty seats during several days of competition. Compared to Sydney, Athens, Beijing and London, the Rio Olympics have been poorly attended it seems.
Even the cycling which is free didnt draw big crowds.London had very few sessions in any sport with many empty seats,A lot were big venues as well.Despite what many Brits thought would happen,the games were incredibly successful.Though we live in a country,where London often feels like another world the whole country was buzzing
