That was freakin' amazing!!!

As an aside, I just love Kirani James (Grenada). He is a great competitor and ALL class. The way he takes time to congratulate every fellow competitor after every race truly embodies the sprit of the Olympics.

First the women's 10k & now the 400 record was not just broken but shattered. Van Niekerk looked so relaxed & effortless the last stretch of the 400. Unreal. I think he can even go faster.

I have always been into the Olympics and thoroughly enjoy the coverage though I admit that I actually watch the BBC which is commercial free and less prone to constant mindless commentary.

I know that in my lifetime I will not see the likes of Phelps and Bolt again.

Best of all, it is a relief not to have to watch the talking heads and their blather about the election!

Loved Bolt, no other athlete like him in the world, I was laughing and clapping and cheering throughout his victory lap.

Beating Gatlin was most satisfying.
