wellguy- That really worries me know, Cops don't put any sort of magnet on their doors, its either part of the paint job or not. I have never seen a Tahoe Cop driving around has anyone

Wonder if that vehicle has anything to do with the ones that have been broken into, just a thought.

C.O.P. is a program where citizens go to SAPD and receive training in how to recognize things in the neighborhood that border on criminal activities and then call them in. If you live in the county they may have a similar program. It means you have someone out there that cares enough about the neighborhood to invest their own personal time to make it safer for you. Yes, if you see that individual...go thank him/her. They're there for YOU. (And yes they put magnetic signs on their vehicles).

It would be pretty funny if they had some Inner Circle blaring on their stereo

My personal pickup was not tampered with although my Radar Detector was on the floor board between the front seats. We Rarely use our outside lights.

Before I retired for the evening last night I went outside for some reason and saw for the first time a dark colored Tahoe? with a COPS Magnet on the door. If you all know that individual please Thank Him /Her for me.

Although this is not funny the outside lights were turned on last night but my 27 year old Stepson (visiting from Kansas) who was out a little late failed to shut the garage doors.

Wellguy; I must commend you for taking the time to post a positive , supportive comment towards the COP folks. Unfortunately, there are not enough volunteers here in Westcreek to go all around; and the few that are committed to it; I am sure will feel good to hear your praises and thank you's......I passed it on....

Are you a COP member CH1960? I have been interested in it and would like to hear some details from a member that is actually in my neighborhood. My only problem would be the funky hours I work. I am obviously up late at night now, but that will change in about 1 1/2 months. Are they flexible? When I go into work before 6:00 AM, I obviously will not be able to hang out on patrol in the middle of the night, but it would probably be a fun thing to do on my nights off while I'm working the late shift.

Smile Westcreek COP Program

We do have an organized and trained COP Program here in Westcreek. We had eight people show up at a meeting on Wednesday night, The contact information is on the WC website. You can patrol anytime you want to, it does not have to be just at night. We will need people in the morning as the kids get back into school. We are always looking for volunteers. Help us stop crime before you become the victim.
