This is about the only one I will address about cats in this thread if only from the stand point of.......I think I've said plenty over the years that I am one to bed down with the pets.

As it is, I will bring up the suspect in question matter up to the Vet because......I have to go into town, anyhow, because it is time for the annual pet visits to the Family, other, Doctor.

My cats sleep with me. But, they are also indoor only cats. I would not have cats in my house that go outside.

Many people sleep with their pets because they are members of their family. Growing up my mom was very germ phobic, our house was immaculate and even she allowed the cat to sleep with us kids. Even though you deny it you aren’t a pet person. People that are don’t ask that question.

Tamara, there’s a cleaner for pet odors called Atmosklear and you can buy it online. It gets rid of both cat and dog pee odors. You can scrub the mattress with it and it’s really amazing.

It is possible to be a "pet person" and NOT allow them in bed with you.
Most people I know don't let them in their bed.

When we were first married and got Tigger the orange Maine Coon he would stretch out between us in bed in the middle of the night and we both woke up sweating profusely -- LOL.

I know that and there’s been circumstances where I didn’t sleep with my dogs but I certainly didn’t ask other pet owners why they let their pets sleep with them because the answer is obvious. For years I did Maltese rescue and always had 4 which were too many to sleep with so they slept in a crate in our bedroom. At that time we were the only ones of our friends that didn’t have their pets sleeping with them.

I also inherited my son’s 84lb husky shepherd mix that I was allergic to and I have asthma. He was used to sleeping with my son and it took about a week before he understood he couldn’t get in our bed. I bought him a big comfortable bed and put it next to ours. We did let him on the furniture so he could cuddle with family on the couch. I mostly used my chair because he wouldn’t get up there.

I had cats all my life. The were never allowed into my bedroom, (unless I was vacuuming LOL - my last one hid in my closet) and certainly not on my bed. Cats tromp though a litter box - how does anyone allow that on their bed??? I seriously have never understood it. People that let their cats up on their kitchen counters...? Yeah. That's a big no. And I LOVE cats!!

Same. My BF would never in a million years allow his dog on the bed. No way. No how. Most pet owners I know personally, feel the same.
