SolFlGirl, what canal are you on? What bait? Nice to see flounder in the canals.
The canal is one on Palm Island, just off Boca Grande. We were using Gulp Shrimp. Yeah I've never had much luck with flounder in canals either. You usually find them off the beach surf fishing

Duke,
We were inside the sandbar casting both directions.

A huge thank you to a certain friend, from this site. You know who you are. Thanks to him, from now on when I'm out fishing, I can fly my colors proudly at my home port.

Did some local fishing yesterday but only managed a good sized jack and and a big Spanish mac.

Did a sunset cruise the other night to try out my Gopro camera...any tips for editing with these things would be great. From my dock to the sunset in 3 minutes :

I had it on my 10' underwater pole so it's quite shaky.

I enjoyed it HR. I've had good luck with the quick time pro movie editor. You can buy it on iTunes for 30 bucks.
I wish I had time to use it more.

I'll be fishing all this weekend and next week on Saturday. Back to back out of towers coming.

No bite today. Tried Charlotte Beach in the dark fog, Tippicanoe Bay at sunrise for about 3 hours, Myakka Cutoff from one end to the other. Caught one big Jack and nothing else all day.

Will try somewhere else tomorrow.
