Here are a couple from last week. Was fishing the peace river. The crab is in a five gallon bucket. He was a monster.

Pcozad, NICE pics! I've never seen crabs this big ever! We had a 7 1/4" and an 8" the other day. Yours looks like it takes the prize! Did you measure? I've heard tall tales about 9"ers but never proven. You look very close to that!

Nice report pcozad1. I believe that is a bonnethead shark, nice size one too! Ate my first one last week, not bad but we really should have bled and iced it better.

We had crabs for dinner last night...mmm. They sure do get big around here. I only have one pot off my dock, thinking of getting a few more and leaving them out in the harbor. Nice thing about the crab in the canals though is it seems they are all males, something to do with the salinity.

In 5 months only one female. Small and let her go. We have 2 pots off our dock and once they get about 7 in them, they seem to slow down. 2 pots makes it nice. We average 3 to 4 a night when the tide is high overnight. Pulled traps cuz we're tired of cooking them...... for now. Will start again in a few days. Neighbor caught a monster yesterday. I always wondered why FL doesn't have a blue crab industry, so to speak. TX has a big industry. Shows up the Chesapeake Bay crabs! BUT, as long as it isn't over fished, we'll do just fine

Cosmo looks like he's waiting for you to make a false move and he'd snatch that fish right away from you!

He can catch a bass in the air when I go to throw them back then he just stands therewith a fish in his mouth cause he isn't sure what to do with it. I have to watch him here as everything can bite back.

Went out today and watched my brother and his son in law fight a stingray for over an hour. Took almost an hour before for saw it.Everytime it would surface it was surrounded by two foot sharks. They were both huffin & puffin switching off every fifteen minutes or so. They could barely move tonight. They are flying back to Nebraska tomorrow. They don't have any idea how sore they are going to be in two days.It is a whole different set of muscles.

Oh yeah! I caught one down by the Matlache pass a few months ago, and it fought hard! Then after it was tiring out, it went right to the bottom, straight under the boat, and I had to winch it out! I thought It was wrapped around a rock, but it wasn't - it just sucked itself down and wouldn't budge! Then after a short rest, and a lot of pulling to get it off the bottom, it fought some more!
