How in hell is that comment you quoted indicative of "hate" towards Bush? How can you spin that comment into "hate so strong they are compleltely [sic] blind to anything good about Bush"? Did you even bother reading the comment to which that post was a response?
Thank you Sagran. The comment that was quoted was not quoted in full and it in no way was a put down or 'hate' comment towards Bush. What I said in full was: "Are you so misinformed on this topic, Sarene, that you don't know that Obama is the one who asked Bush Jr. and Clinton to step up to the plate to do this? It's a bipartisan effort to duplicate what Clinton and Bush Sr. did for a few years back to help after the tsunami. But then 'bipartisan' seems to be a word that is missing from a lot of people's vocabulary involved in this Haiti discussion." (My post where I said this was #13; the partial quote that was misunderstood/misleading is in #48.)
His Katrina rescue efforts were more of a disaster than the hurricane itself. Too much, too little, too late Georgie. You can distance yourself from Cheney, but you cannot hide from your karma.
So true. He will be the white elephant in the room wherever he goes. He can smile and act the fool and people can laugh, but he dare not open his mouth and say a word, lest he be ridiculed.
And he knows it. So he will make appearances, he will smile, and he will be asked few, if any, questions.
An ex President who is a complete embarrassment. At least he wont dare going to Europe and embarrass us there, he might get arrested for war crimes. Luckily for him alot of Haitians are probably unaware of his crimes.

Bush has a great opportunity to repair the negatives in his legacy regarding Katrina. Let's all give him a chance.

Talk about politicizing a disaster. Instead of applauding any effort to help the victims of this earthquake, withing the the first page or two we have people going on political and personal attacks against GW Bush, just for lending his clout to fund raise for the Haitian victims.

Say what? The first two mildly so. The last two were made by rightwingers and are aimed at the victims, not Bush.

A) He has no clout
B) I've seen wingnuts immediately reject the political appeals of Hollywood actors and have to ask: What makes Bush any different?
He stole an election (likely two of them) botched one war and lied us into another, cannot speak in complete sentences without butchering his words, and has been proven to be an idiot on more occasions than one can count. I give the edge to all Hollywood actors in the "clout" dept..
YOU can support this fool going to Haiti if you so choose. I cannot support anything from him other than a full confession and admittance of the many mistakes and crimes committed in the name of this country.
of course he is going to help
why would he not??
He did more for the aids cause in Haiti then any other president
good grief
He did more for billionaires, Wall Street executives, Bankers and overpaid executives who gambled away the nations fortune, the Defense Industry and their assorted lobbyists and hanger ons, and the oil and coal industry than anyone.
What will people say about Obama when he widens the war in Afghanistan, takes it to Yemen and sends more troops to fight? Since he got elected he is more like Bush since he has found out Bush was right to fight the war instead of letting terrorists take over.
Talk about helping billionaires and the others, Obama has given them bailouts with more to come.
