This cartoon isn't even about Obama! The dead chimp represents Congress. Why do some people see racism in everything?

How was Congress or the stimulus bill "shot down" by anyone or anything?

Don't agree, but let's say you are correct. Can you explain what the cartoon is trying to get across specifically? I honestly would like to hear a rationale ... as I don't get it.

There's nothing to get, other than old fashioned racism and violence against blacks, in this cartoon depicted as an ape.

Well, if you think Civil Rights are evident in this country when you have a large portion of this country that mocks Martin Luther King's birthday with racial epithets and cartoons that depict the President as an ape and shows him laying in blood, riddled with bullets, then "cartoons" like this show how some people really feel.

Listen to the official explanation by Sean Delonas, the author of that racist and violent "cartoon". He instead said it should be Pelosi.

These people are not trying to hide anything. And they have LOTS of support from racist America.

Why do some people refuse to see the obvious?

Why do some people live in denial?

Why are some people racist?

See how that works?

For you people that don't get it, this cartoon sure is creating a lot of discussion from one distinct group of people - those that have racism uppermost on their minds night and day...day and night...24/7/365.

I'd say the NY Post thinks they got a big bang out of running that cartoon. And with that - You gotta love it!

The line I'm hearing from people justifying the cartoon's "humor" is that the stimulus plan is so bad that a monkey must have written it. It was published the day after a monkey attacked and seriously injured a lady in Connecticut, a story that was publicized in the Post.

If it takes that long to tell the "joke", then it wasn't funny enough to be published. Despite Rev Sharpton's protesting, I don't think it was comparing President Obama to a monkey. The monkey was supposedly representing the writer of the stimulus plan as the caption says, which would be Congress.

Al's just happy to get some face time on TV. He's been a missing person since Obama was elected.

Then what do the police represent?

Kooter (that word brings up so many high school memories of immature lockeroom talk ), would you care to explain the exact symbolicism of each part of the cartoon since you love it so much?
