Things worked out very well in the end, Britain was able to pass the global mantle to the US, a country built on very good principles.

President Trump is a smart man but he sure says a lot of things that make him look dumb. Not to nit pick but shouldn't our Commander in Chief, the pro-military President, be aware that these tanks have not been used in over 60 years?
Parades showing our military equipment is unnecessary, it's what the leaders in North Korea and Russia resort to.

But we have the brand new Sherman tanks and the brand new Abram tanks and we have some incredible equipment — military equipment on display. Brand new. And we’re very proud of it.”
The Sherman tank, mostly used in World War II, was replaced by the U.S. Army in the 1950s.
Often, non military people will mis-Speak when talking about militarty equipment.... How often has former presidents called Navy destroyers, battleships??

Like everything else he touches, Trump has ruined our annual celebration in Washington DC. There’s a difference between attending the celebration, and making the celebration about yourself.
In the rest of the country we will be celebrating Independence Day.
In Washington DC, they will be celebrating Trump Day. Most not by choice.
There is nothing President Trump could do short of bowing down to the DEMs that would get him approval for one thing that he does.
