He might not need further funding but he does need some funding. If no bill is passed, border funding will run out as early as mid-August and the President can't switch funds from one program to pay for another. Your Congressional Representative, no matter how far to the right, understands that. They're arguing about the amount and peripheral issues but they all know it must be funded.

Obama can easily confiscate asset from the home countries of those illegal immigrants, should they refuse to pay the cost. They are their citizens and they should be paying for it not us.

Again, he doesn't need any more funding.

What about the 30 million adult illegal immigrants here?
It isn't about intrepeting anything. The law calls for any children that come to the U.S illegally from countries other than Mexico or Canada to have a immigration hearing.

This thread is yet another example of the rank dishonesty of conservatives.

If extra funding is not needed to enforce the law, then what were all those conservatives doing on tv saying this is an humanitarian crisis, and how border patrol didn't have the man power or the facilities to deal with this humanitarian crisis, and that conservatives would seek to address this humanitarian crisis.

The only way the conservative failure to pass legislation to fix what conservatives were all calling a humanitarian crisis is a tactic admission that conservative after conservative got on tv and flat out lied about the extent of the problem and how border patrol was handling the problem.

Why even introduce a bill if all is well as some in this thread are now suggesting?

conservatives make no sense.

The "surge" is in families, not minors.

And less than 25% of those minors are under 15.

CPB reports..FY13 to June FY14
Illegal minors up 103%
Illegal families up 493%

Congress just heard one "unaccompanied minor" testify.
He complained of overcrowding, cold food and bad bathroom conditions.

And then he was flown "home" to Long Island where his mother and 5 sisters live.

Because the "extra funding" was in last year's budget.
HHS got over $500 million EXTRA for this "surge" that they even projected.

The current issue isn't even about those who are here illegally, and is something that has been going on for decades. The current crisis that is being talked about is the surge of kids of Central America.
