I guess you're being sarcastic. If American Black slaves really wanted reparations; they would wanna be sent back "home" where their families were taken from, Africa. But MOST of them DON'T like the idea of having to deal with African Blacks especially IN Africa cause Africans won't listen to "attitude".
It's a good thing that "PC" social pressure exists. Otherwise, bigots and racists would get away with a whole lot more in regards to expressing their hateful, ignorant views.

There were 3 major drawbacks to the civil rights movement and that was the abandonment of Black-owned businesses to go work for corporations and govt positions, the abandonment of Black neighborhoods by the middle and upper class, and Black women embracing the lies of the Women's movement. These have been nearly fatal errors for African Americans. We believed and internalized the lie that White = better and as a group, we acted accordingly.

YOU are all but screaming "racism" since those Blacks who had what it took to play in the "white world" back in the day do just that. As prejudice dropped against the Irish; those of us who were lace curtain left the shantytowns behind cause we didn't wanna be dragged down by them. Yes: we were the N words turned inside out; that's how bad prejudice was against us 150 years ago or even as late as the 1930's. "Irish Need Not Apply". The decent Blacks DIDN'T want that hood rat tude around them. Think about it.

I have been waiting to here the portion, in bold, for a very long time. I will be honest that their was good that came out of the movement, but it had negative consequences which we still see today. I also agree that many Black Owned businesses were hurt by the movement, because many blacks thought patronizing white establishments gave them freedom. As far as abandoning black neighborhoods, it depends on the circumstances. Around the 60's is when many started to go downhill. Many "current hoods" used to be decent and middle class black neighborhoods, and many blacks left when they saw the neighborhood going downhill. I can't really fault them.

No, hate speech is any speech that attacks another group of people and interferes with another Americans life.
Look at CD for example. They let you speak freely and express your opinions. They just ask that you do not attack another person or make hateful remarks. The U.S should be the same.

Any hate crime, committed by someone black or white, is bad.
EVERYBODY who commits a hate crime needs to be locked up.
