These are the exceptions that prove the rule.

Straw grasping is always thus.

Interesting, when conservatives often refer to Blacks they use words like slavery, chains, welfare, handouts, ghetto, thugs, etc..

And yet they wonder why more Blacks aren't Republicans.

I know, right? I think it's really condescending to tell an entire racial group that they're essentially still living in slavery and that their living conditions have changed little since then. Also, implying that they're not intelligent to know that they're being "enslaved"() by the liberal "plantation", is incredibly insulting.

Maybe, just maybe, the GOP should campaign for black votes based on actual issues. Just a thought.

It's time to do away with both the Democrat and Republican parties and have Conservative and Liberal parties replace them. At least when you vote for a candidate in parties with those titles, you know what you're getting.

The breakdown of the black family spiraled downward in the 1980's when the GOP began their crackdown on unions and Reagan refused to raise the minimum wage.

It suddenly began much more profitable to be a drug dealer who still qualified for government giveaways and not get married than it was to get married, support a family and seek legitimate employment.

Progressives tried that with a name change to liberal... Rebranding, to fool many ignorant with a label like liberal, when Progressives are for anything but individual liberty and freedom.

No. Since you refuse to believe some African-Americans are starting to think for themselves and leave the cotton fields of the democratic party why don't you provide proof that it is not happening.

You don't get it. People of Color have seen what the policies of Johnson, Carter and Obama have done to their communities (I actually think Clinton was on the right path with his Welfare to Work initiatives).

Democrats may have the chains around the necks of African-Americans but the African-Americans have the key to unlock those shackles.

That namely is individual freedom and economic expansion with free enterprise.

Go Ron Paul 2012!
